bunches handmade flower co.

happy monday! it feels like forever since i’ve had time to update the blog and that’s because i’ve been working so hard on a new venture that i couldn’t be more excited about.

i’ve always admired people who have a craft and were able to turn it into a business (like my sister!) and have spent many nights wondering how i could make that work for me. i don’t knit, i don’t sew, i don’t have superior graphic design skills. i love flowers, i love vintage, i love photography. how could i combine all three into one fun project to focus on?

i absolutely loved my job at the flower shop and miss it. then i realized that because i am at home with abigail right now, it would make more sense for me to design floral items with silk flowers instead of fresh. having a business where i can make beautiful things with flowers but still be at home brings me a lot of joy!

it started with flower crowns and dream catchers but i just added some very sweet flower headbands to my shop. eventually i would like to add floral hair clips, flower mobiles, flower monograms and cute pet collars; if you have any other ideas, please let me know! i also accept custom orders, so whatever the floral item might be, i would love to work on it for you!

there’s been a lot of great feedback the last couple of weeks on social media and i want to thank everyone for the encouragement. i have spent every waking moment with my baby and working on getting this little shop up and running.

welcome to bunches handmade flower co.!

Our Beautiful Baby Shower

Living so far away from family can make it difficult to plan things like parties and showers but my mom and sister really made this day so special and Steph and I appreciated it so much. We may have gone the less traditional route by having the baby shower at my house but my sister was truly the sweetest hostess – she brought some super cute decor and games and of course put up with my annoying self about maternity pictures. Somehow my mom was able to pack gifts and a whole slew of other sentimental items in a gigantic suitcase and my friend Victoria drove all the way from Pittsburgh to spend the weekend (and smuggled me in some Chick Fil A lemonade!!).

I expected the baby shower to be on the smaller side and was shocked when almost everyone who lived in the area was able to make it. It meant the world to have so many of my family and friends come over to celebrate our little girl.

our growing little family!

the start of her darling dress collection

baby leblanc’s baby shower mantle! how amazing is that banner my sister made? perfect handwriting

the floral wreath I made. it was a labor of love and I enjoyed every minute of making this!

my mama brought lots of my old baby clothes and stuffed animals. they were perfect decor!

the most hilarious baby shower game – I highly recommend this if you don’t want to go the diaper game route but still want some laughs. so funny!

even though my dad couldn’t make the shower, he made these amazing baby blocks for us! guests decorated them and seriously some of the girls took the whole party creating the most gorgeous blocks ever. there were a few left over and I am currently having three engraved with her monogram… can’t wait to share those!

drink station and guess the little miss’ arrival chalkboards. thank you to everyone who guessed early or on time haha we need all the good vibes!

one of the baby shower tablescapes (the other was in our kitchen). simple and sweet

let love grow succulent guest favors. again with Sam’s fabulous handwriting! so cute

my friend Farah made these cookies and everyone couldn’t stop talking about them. INCREDIBLE!

This is literally the only picture of my mom, sister and I from the shower – the day was so crazy we didn’t get a good posed one but this is still such a meaningful photo. All three of us (four, really!) with the baby blanket my sister knitted for the little miss. (You can see her Etsy shop here) It’s so soft and beautiful I can’t wait to take pictures of the baby with it. Sam and I were both really attached to our “blankies” as kids so I love that we have this to give to her.

THANK YOU so much to everyone who came for the baby shower and to my mom and sister for making every detail so lovely. I can’t wait for baby girl to get here so yall can come back! :)

Garden Roses Bouquet at Sunset

September, I can’t believe you’re here already! I can practically taste the autumn air.

Just kidding. We’re having a heat wave and with no air conditioning… lets just say I am anticipating the fall season more than ever.

Here are some pictures of the summer’s last bouquet. My first time getting to play with garden roses and they are just the loveliest.
